"I had the pleasure to join the Endeavour Expeditions team climbing Mount Kilimanjaro and experienced first-hand the needs of the local Tanzanian porters and guides. To spend Nine days with the parents of the children in need created not only a sense of knowing, but the unconditional love these people have for all they come across. You'll never meet more deserving people. The sacrifice these incredible people make for the chance of picking maybe one of their children to send to school when they have 3-5 children exposed me to the luxuries, we as Americans take for granted each day. Education should be a birthright not a luxury, but in most of the world it is a luxury. I wanted to help immediately and knowing the funds go directly through the education system my heart is filled knowing I can support many young deserving children to receive the best gift of all, education. This opportunity to make an impact in this community is at a time that will make a forever shift in the trajectory of these families getting out of poverty and it's a blessing we can be a part of it."

“Climbing Mt Kilimanjaro is so much more than climbing a mountain. Jim and Kristi of Endeavor Expeditions are incredible leaders who are experienced, kind, compassionate, discipled and no nonsense in their quest to get you to the top safely! Then you meet the African guides and porters, and you learn the true meaning of compassion, hard work, resilience, and joy from people that live incredibly humbly. You become family and they treat you better than you have ever been treated in your life. Being able to continue to be part of the family you are welcomed into and help the children of these amazing porters and guides go to school through contributing to The Kids of Kilimanjaro is an incredible honor and privilege.”

"My involvement with Endeavor expeditions is a unique one. I am a professional photographer and was invited to be on the Mt Kilimanjaro Summit journey. My experience started days before the climb working with the porters, their families, and the guides at their humble homes. I have traveled into 3rd world locations all over the globe but have never felt this sense of love and human trust that I felt here. Going to the houses I was able to also meet the kids of the porters and guides. These beautiful children of all ages, religions, and ethnic backgrounds. All dressed and clean in the best attire to greet us. I was able to meet Brighton, a young 9-year-old handsome young man who helped me with a go pro during a quick photo session. What I was not aware of at the time was that his mom was going to be my personal porter to carry my camera gear to the summit with me. I could go on forever about this life changing experience but to sum it up: my experience with Jim and Kristi and the Endeavor expeditions team was top notch. I felt that experience was safe, and the team was always willing to accommodate and try to make sure that we were always as comfortable as possible. The porters and guides were the sincerest people I have ever been around, full of joy literally every step of the way. Because of The Kids of Kilimanjaro, I am now able to help Brighton have an education and have pledged to pay for his schooling until he graduates."
